TIP 2026

Photo/Video Proposal - June, 2026

___________

TIP changes lives by opening doors to meaningful careers and long-term stability. But there is so much more that often goes unnoticed by the public. We’re excited to present these two story-driven assets (plus photography) that not only showcase the impact of TIP’s work, but also help future students, employer partners, donors, and community stakeholders understand what makes TIP so different.

PROJECT ONE: THE TIP EFFECT

Our goal: to create a 2–3 minute flagship brand film that introduces audiences to the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh and communicates the depth and breadth of its impact. The film will track the journey from enrollment through job placement, weaving together trade skills training, life skills development, social service supports, employer partnerships, and the broader community impact of TIP.

Pre-Production

  • Discovery meeting to align on key messages

  • Develop creative approach and narrative framework

  • Identify featured student(s), instructors, alumni, employer partners, and family participants

  • Coordinate schedules

  • Conduct pre-interviews to uncover authentic story arcs and identify compelling moments

  • Build production schedule and shot list

Deliverables:

  • Approved script

  • Production schedule created

Production

  • Interface with TIP to decide which shots already exist in the categories of:

    • Classroom instruction and hands-on trade training

    • Life skills workshops and support services

    • Home life and family interactions

    • Community environments and neighborhoods

    • Employer partner interviews and workplace footage

    • Graduation and job placement moments

    • Faculty and leadership perspectives

  • Schedule 2 production days to capture the missing components

Deliverables:

  • All raw media captured, and backed up on secure hard drives.

Post-Production

  • Editing: Create a 2-3 minute master edit, with 2 cutdowns for social media.

  • Finishing: Apply color grading. Complete sound design, add music, add titles and logos as needed.

  • Revisions: Provide up to three rounds of video revision to refine the final product.
