UPMC GIVES - VIDEO SUITE PROPOSAL

November 2, 2024

___________

At Make Roots, we know that every nonprofit served by UPMC has a unique story worth telling. Our team specializes in creating cinematic, documentary-style video suites that spotlight the powerful work of nonprofits across the region.

Our team for this project will be unobtrusive and nimble—for more efficient scheduling, ease of communication, and faster turnarounds. Our goal is to create a sharable suite of seven social videos (roughly 1 minute apiece) and seven cutdowns (15 seconds apiece) that highlight select regional nonprofits in the UPMC Gives database, putting the spotlight on their successes and triumphs, with a nod to UPMC’s dedication to regional giving.

Pre-Production

  • Concept Development: Collaborate with UPMC to finalize the video concept and scripts, ensuring they align with the vision.

  • Planning & Preparation: Review location photos in lieu of scout sessions. Confirm shot lists, locations, and any necessary permits. Finalize schedule and logistics.

Deliverables:

  • Approved script

  • Production schedule and location plan

Production

  • On-Site Filming: Capture cinematic footage, focusing on community impact and deep storytelling. A nimble team of two (director/cinematographer and grip/audio) will be present to minimize our footprint.

Deliverables:

  • All captured footage and audio

Post-Production

  • Editing and Finishing: Craft the final videos with professional editing, color grading, sound design, and branded graphics.

  • Revisions: Provide up to two rounds of revision per video to refine the final product.

Deliverables:

  • Seven spotlight edits (roughly 1 minute apiece)

  • Seven cutdown edits (15 seconds apiece)

  • All files delivered in web-ready HD format
